The Security Operations Manager for Quantum manages the work activities of Security Officers and other personnel in the delivery of emergency and non-emergency security services that emphasize community interaction and problem solving. Activities include critical incident management, reporting, investigations, country projects and enforcement of security policies and procedures, training and crime prevention. 

Your main tasks as Security Operations Manager will among other things be: 

  • Serves as a leader, coach and mentor to direct reports. Meets regularly with employees. Evaluates performance of personnel. Documents career development opportunities, performance deficiencies, and disciplines according to organizational standards.   

  • Responsible for managing the physical security operations on site. 

  • Constantly evaluates operational programs for service delivery consistencies and efficiencies. Recommends and implements solutions to fix operational deficiencies. 

  • Recognizes frequently changing priorities and events, directs the activities of the Operations staff in a timely manner. 

  • Reviews and approves reports and other documents prepared by Officers to ensure accuracy and adequacy, assures cases are properly prepared and presented, prepares memos and similar internal correspondence, enters and extracts data from computer programs/systems.  

  • Promotes teamwork and cooperative problem solving among subordinates, monitors compliance to rules, regulations, procedures, and strategic directions. 

  • Escalates via chain of command all complaints and inquiries received from the Client, management, staff, or other departments; investigates, prepares reports/statements, collects evidence, and presents findings to senior management. 

  • Manages Site Security Managers, Shift Supervisors, Security Responders, Security Officers or DIO’s. 

  • Conducts regular briefings with Security personnel and disseminates appropriate crime information and other data as necessary. Responsible for conducting regular roll-call training on topics relevant to best practices. 

  • Evaluates Security Officer/Responder actions at accidents and serious/sensitive events, assumes command, and provides assistance to Officers in the field. 

  • Debriefs personnel after critical incidents and prepares written After Incident Reports and disseminates to appropriate staff. 

  • In conjunction with Scheduling, ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions. 

  • Supports relevant projects where assigned and will be required to travel to other sites/countries. 

  • Remote overview and reporting line with US and The Netherlands, with travel to The Netherlands likely to be 3 to 4 times a year, over 2 days at a time. 

  • Works closely with all stakeholders to ensure communication and best practice is maintained across the account.  

  • Standard business hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00, may be required to work outside of these hours due to operational needs. A requirement to be contactable 24 hours in case of emergencies. 

We will of course make sure you are dressed for the task, with thorough training in all procedures and systems.

You are prepared for some travel activity, and it is expected that your residence is such that you have a maximum of 60 minutes travel time to the location in Lyngby.

  • Be a skilled guard, with a sharp eye for detail, and master all aspects of guarding. 

  • Have a minimum of five years of management experience. 

  • Have a relevant theoretical education. 

  • Have strong competencies in HR and customer management. 

  • Master Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at a high and secure level. 

  • Express yourself professionally in English and Danish – both in writing and orally.
